The Binnendieze Canal

The Binnendieze is the collective name for the ancient system of all watercourses within the walls of 's-Hertogenbosch. In the sailing season, you sail through the city with a characteristic open boat. Alternately you sail in the open air under the buildings. You will discover exciting watercourses and imposing fortifications of the Brabant capital.

Museums

The Noordbrands Museum

The Noordbrabants Museum shows the art, history, and culture of Brabant. In addition, crafts are regularly spent on the Brabant painter Jheronimus Bosch, Vincent van Gogh, and Jan Sluijters. It is also the only location in Brabant where original paintings by Van Gogh can be seen.

The Zwanenbroederhuis

The Zwanenbroederhuis encompasses the rich history of the illustrious Lieve Vrouwe Broederschap and safeguards many cultural-historical objects. Examples are the drinking cup of  Willem van Oranje and unique fifteen-sixteenth-century music books and woodcarvings.

 

Jheronimus Bosch Art Centre 

The Jheronimus Bosch Art Center is a unique tribute to the artist  Jheronimus Bosch who was born around 1450 and died in 1516 in 's-Hertogenbosch. Visitors can discover and explore the artist, his work and life.

St. John's Cathedral 
96 figurines, carved down to the smallest detail from natural stone, are almost invisible from the ground at a height of 25 meters. Since 2016 you can climb the cathedral and see all the figurines. Together with a guide, the climb to the time of Jheronimus Bosch is undertaken.

Bossche Bollen 
A visit to 's-Hertogenbosch is only complete with a Bossche Bol from Jan de Groot. This pastry specialty from 's-Hertogenbosch is baked from a choux batter, dipped in melted dark chocolate, and then filled with whipped cream.

The market
If you are in the city center on Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, it is very nice to visit the market in the city center. On Wednesday and Saturday, the Warenmarkt takes place with vegetables, fruit, flowers, cheese, and clothing etc. Friday is the Organic market with local products.

Nature

The Bossche Broek

Just outside the city walls of 's-Hertogenbosch lies the Bossche Broek. Because it is so close to the city, it is easy to combine Bossche Broek with a visit to the historic city center. Walk or cycle out of the city and discover not only the unique flora and fauna in this area

but also the beautiful view of the city.

Moerputten 

Walk over the Moetputtenburg and through the nature reserve, in the south of 's-Hertogenbosch. Discover the hidden history of long-distance railway bridges. This route runs via the railway embankment over the impressive railway bridge, after which you walk along the hay meadows, which is full of flowers in the summer. Through the butterfly path through the swamp, you will return to the railway embankment.
